  10. Virtual Data Center (VDC) • Seamless access to data from any geographical location within the SoSIL • Provides access to 100 Tb inline data storage and 100 Tb online data storage • ACE and VISION serve as user interfaces to the VDC • Provides data archiving, reduction, and analysis tools to FCS subject matter experts SoCal Node SoCal LAN SoSIL Network Encryptor Data Center Mobile Node Extended VDC Resources Test Site

  11. SoSIL Mobile Node Concept Test Operations Trailer SoSIL Mobile Nodes • Data Processing Support of Technical Field Tests • Test Operations Display at the Field Test Location • Collection and Real-Time Analysis of Test Data • Large Scale Data Storage and Archival Capability • Provides Wideband Connectivity Between SoSIL and Field Test Locations Data Processing Trailer

Comm Subsystem Sensor Subsystem Weapon Subsystem C3I Subsystem Common Subsystems Vehicle Consoles Vehicle Simulation FCS Integrated Platform Test Article Simulations Each Test Article is comprised of multiple subsystems that need to be tested simultaneously with other Test Articles in a SoS environment.

  13. FCS SoS Test Article Needs What does the virtual simulator (Test Article) need? Environmental Conditions Sensor Signatures Relevant RED Force Entities Relevant Blue Force Entities Knowledge of Terrain The framework provides the interaction mechanism between these items and the test articles

  14. FCS SoS Virtual Framework Concept • Immerse System of Systems (SoS) into a realistic synthetic battlespace • Provide End-to-End, Real-time, UoA-scale test capability as the SoS matures into a delivered product • Provide distributed testing capability in System SILs, the SoSIL, and ranges • Support validation of SoS models and simulations • Verify SoS Spec requirements • Provide interoperability testing with external systems The SoS Virtual Framework wraps a simulated world around each Test Article, allowing for SoS performance assessment as the Test Articles mature.
