As the name itself suggests, community care job is caring for people in the community who are in need of extra care. For example old people or even younger ones who are going through some physical disabilities. A recent survey showed that our developed world in currently facing a growing percentage of aging population. This means that there will be a lot more need of community care givers to the elders. The main purpose of a community care worker is to fill in the space left of normal daily activities which the patient cannot perform anymore. It may be due to old age or physical or mental disability. But more often than not the patients are old aged people who could be suffering from emphysema or had a hip broken or even just had a stroke. These old aged people will find themselves in a rather precarious situation since they are unable to care for themselves even for simple tasks as going to the bathroom. Such activities that the community care worker may need to perform during a normal week include giving showers, clean the patient’s house, drive the patient to his/her appointments, going shopping for the patient or goring for errands for them and even helping them to eat their meals. All the activities have a certain inherent nobleness in them and while you will be earning money from doing all these tasks, you will also be earning points for good deeds. You need to understand that this kind of job will demand a lot from your mental and physical stamina.
