Definition of Vague Geometric Model (VGM) • Definition of VGM: A geometric model which implicates ill-defined abstraction, numerical value and/or spatial information. • Definition of VGMing: A modelling method that can represent and maintain the vague information contained in a vague geometric model (VGM).
Functions of Vague Geometric Modelling (VGMing) • Representation of vague information - Various likelihoods of line meanings. - Similarly, for shapes, put in a hierarchy. - Customised viewpoints. • Maintenance of vague information - Incremental update. - Modification. - Retrieval by various criteria.

Conclusion • Visualisation of conceptual models, which contains various vague information in the form of sketches, is important to support a more flexible and dynamic design. • Current approaches do not offer any method of representing and managing vague information often found in conceptual ideas. • A possible approach to the vague geometric modelling, based on hierarchical structure and probabilistic method, and its associated issues have been briefly presented. • A prototype with most of the ideas put forward here is under development, and when it is available, a more flexible and realistic evaluation of the idea will be possible.
