Rehabilitation International (RI) RIFI is a member of the international umbrella organization for rehabilitation Mission statement: RI is a global network with all important stakeholders, promoting the rights and inclusion of persons with disabilities and/or health problems, through means including advocacy, habilitation, rehabilitation to achieve an inclusive world where all people can enjoy active participation and full human rights.

  3. A strong focus • on rehabilitation and habilitation both globally and nationally • implementation of the UN Convention at the national, regional and international levels • National secretaries in member countries.

  4. RIFI • connects it’s member organizations to international cooperation on a national level in order to ensure coequal participation opportunities for its members • acts as a trend-setter for the rehabilitation field in Finland • Representatives of RIFI participate in RI’s commissions and work • Majority of the work is done on a voluntary basis • The activities are funded by membership fees

Mission • RIFI’s mission is to • follow developments in the field of rehabilitation, both in Finland and abroad • keep in touch with Finnish and international actors in the field, covering all disability groups and rehabilitation sectors • inform the public about its activities and exchange information • organize events and seminars related to rehabilitation

RIFI is an active member in RI Europe and RI Norden. • RIFI has members in RI commissions • Commission on Work and Employment • Commission on Policy and Services • Social Commission • International Commission on Technology and Accessibility (ICTA) • Educational Commission • Commission on Recreation, Leisure and Physical Activity
