  2. Luke 22:14-20 (NCV) When the time came, Jesus and the apostles were sitting at the table. He said to them, “I wanted very much to eat this Passover meal with you before I suffer. I will not eat another Passover meal until it is given its true meaning

  3. Luke 22:14-20 (NCV) in the kingdom of God.” Then Jesus took a cup, gave thanks, and said, “Take this cup and share it among yourselves. I will not drink again from the fruit of the vine until God's kingdom comes.”

  16. The Story of The Last Supper We come to the table remembering we were slaves to sin (living for ourselves) and leave the table free from sin as we choose by grace to follow our Savior.

  17. The Last Supper • Points us to the cross (Passover = freedom) • Invites us to live our life on new terms (disciple of Jesus) • Reminds us to tell and re-tell the story of Jesus

  18. 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 (NIV) The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
