  7. Key requirements • Totally decentralized maintenance • A system that would let us make any changes ourselves • Solution: • An Open Source system

  32. From spaghetti to Sushi • Before 2002 • All resources were manually made from scratch • Some resources had a finite life span and had to be removed manually • Manual management of broken links etc. • Content delivery lacked workflow • Few colleagues were able to contribute

  33. From spagetti to Sushi • After 2002 • Strong workflow model • Open Source, so the price was right • Use what you need rather than buy unused features • Don’t pay for software licenses, pay for development
