  1. Who am I? Hi! My name is Aurora Si Wah Wai. I was born on Tuesday, August 27th, 2002 at 1832h in Burnaby Hospital. I was 3351 grams (=7 lbs 6 oz.) at birth. I gave my mother a very short labour and a quick delivery and she is forever thankful.

  2. My Hospital Stay I couldn’t room in with Mommy because I needed antibiotics and an IV for a few days, just as she did. My parents visited me often in the special care nursery. After 3 days, I was finally allowed to go home.

  3. My Other Names • I have many names. • Daddy and Mommy call me “Baby” more often than my real name. • Other names include: • Angel Face • Wiggly Worm • Sweetie Pie

  4. Communication When I’m content, I have quiet moments interspersed with happy sounds. However, I can make all sorts of noises, including grunts, gurgles, squawks, whimpers, and cries. Daddy and Mommy have become very good at interpreting my body language (e.g. hunger, gas, pee and poo warnings, etc.)

  5. Needs and Complaints: Theme and Variations on the Cry • Var. 1 - I’m hungry! • Var. 2 - I’m starving! • Var. 3 - I’m about to poop! • Var. 4 - I’ve just pooped. Somebody clean me up! • Var. 5 - I’m about to pee! • Var. 6 - I’ve just peed. Give me a dry diaper . . . Please! • Var. 7 - I have a lot of gas. Pick me up and help me burp or belch! • Var. 8 - Don’t bother me! I want to sleep. • Var. 9 - I don’t want to change clothes! • Var. 10 - I’m too hot! • Var. 11 - I don’t want to take a bath! • Var. 12 - Stop fussing with me. I don’t care if I have milk all over my face!

  6. Baths I like baths as long as I don’t have to take one in the silly baby bathtub. I like the grown-up bathtub much better.

  7. My Family I have a lot of relatives. See my Gong-Gong and Po-Po? My Kuao-Fu (Uncle Francis) was too scared to hold me.

  8. Feedings (Milk . . . Yummy!) Baths in the real bathtub Listening to music, especially piano, trombone, and violin Lying on Daddy’s chest Playing (moving my arms and legs, looking around) Singing silly songs with Mommy Being held Seat belts (car seat & stroller) Baths in the baby bath Vitamin D supplement (tastes horrible) Likes . . . and . . . Dislikes
