Semesterisation • It involves clear cut identification of • duration of teacher learner engagement • duration for conduct of assessment and term end examination for evaluation • certification by declaration of grades. • As per UGC regulations in a semester there has to be a minimum of 90 teaching days for learner teacher engagement.

  8. Course Components (LTP) • Lecture Sessions are the current mode of delivering the content. • But here course offered is delivered through three components of teaching learning process: • Lecture Session-L • Tutorial Session-T • Practical/Practice Session-P

Economics, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, History, Philosophy, • Geography, Mathematics, Statistics. • c. Music, Visual Arts, Drama / Theatre, Social Work, Journalism & Mass • Communication, Foreign Languages, Public Administration. • (II) B.Sc. (Sciences / Physical Sciences / Bio-Sciences) • a. Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Geology, Geography, Astronomy. • b. Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information • Technology. • c. Home Science, Industrial Electronics, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, • Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Healthcare & Nutrition, Astro-Physics. • (III) B.Com. / B.B.A. (Commerce / Management) • a.   12. Provided that the following minor subject combinations will be allowed with different major subject:

  13. Compulsory • Language (CE,CH) • Social Science(CSS,CG,CIC) • Basic Science (CA, ENVS,) Minimum 3, Maximum 6 and each compulsory course is of 3 credits Maximum of 18 credits can be earned

  14. Core Courses • Hard • Total 14 courses • Each course of 4 credit • Maximum 56 credits

Elective Courses • 10 to 13 Elective courses • They can be major or minor • Department Committee will ensure any elective course is offered once in every three years. • First come first basis • Failed candidate in 1 Elective course is permitted to opt for another elective course • Elective courses are to be decided by BOS in each subjects • Minimum of 40 credits can be earned

  16. GI & HC • General Computer Application, History of Science, Playing Musical instrument, Drawing, painting. • One to three courses can be opted. • These courses varies from 1 to 3 credits. • Maximum of 9 credits can be earned.

Course Evaluation • Continuous comprehensive Evaluation • Attendance • Two Class Test after every thirty days of teaching. • Seminars, Group Discussion, Presentations etc. • It will cover 50 percent of final Grade • End semester exam. • It will cover 50 percent of final Grade • Paper will be set by University.

  19. Maintenance of Record of Attendance and Comprehensive Continuous Assessment • Following format for course-wise maintenance of Assessment cum Attendance Register is proposed

Template for Design of Syllabus of a Theory Course • Header with note about minor tests, major tests, continuous comprehensive assesment, term end examination (with a note to the paper setter of term end examination) and distribution of marks for each component, credits assigned to the course (L:T:P) • Body of the syllabus –Unit-I Subunit 1 • ……….. • –Unit-II • Subunit 1 • ………..
