  2. Lord of the RingsThe Fellowship of The Rings • In the beginning, Frodo and Bilbo Baggins were having a birthday party. They had a huge dinner, with all of their relatives. Bilbo pulled off a trick with his golden ring. His relatives weren't very pleased with him though. After his birthday party, Bilbo decided to leave. He left Frodo a gift though, the One Ring that had powers over all the rings.

Sauron-an evil mastermind who almost ruled the world a long time ago, and is back for revenge. • Frodo-A fiery little hobbit who bears the One Ring. • Sam-Frodo’s helper, determined to go along with Frodo. • Gandalf-A mysterious wizard with extraordinary abilities, he leads the Company until he perishes in The Mines of Moria.

  5. Lord of the RingsThe Fellowship of The Rings • Bilbo, Sam, Pippin, and Mary start out with the purpose of going to Rivendell. Along the way, they have to go through perilous adventures. Gandalf was missing, which frightened Frodo Baggins, The Ring Bearer. Along the way, after they crossed through Tom Bombadil’s land, and they met Strider (formal name is Aragorn) in the Bree. Bree was getting ready to be sieged by the Dark Riders, Saurons servants. That set the hobbits and Aragorn in panic. So they fled, hoping to reach Rivendell before The Nine Dark Riders reached them.

  7. Ride to Rivendell • . Frodo was injured along the way, so he had to be carried along the way. When they have almost reached Rivendell, The Dark Riders almost stopped them, but a wonderful being in Rivendell caused a flood to stop the riders, but nearly wiped out the hobbits too!

  8. Once they finally reached Rivendell, there was a council about what they should do next. It turns out that Bilbo was there too. It was finally decided that there should be nine ring carriers since there was nine Dark Riders.
