  3. SHAVEE • Raise funds to individual’s name/team • Make an appointment during event (5 minute time period) • Have head shaved • Stand in solidarity with those living with cancer

  4. HAIR DONOR • Raise funds to individual’s name/team • Make an appointment during event (20 minute time period) • Have @ least 8 inches or hair cut off • Stand in solidarity with those living with cancer

  5. VOLUNTEER • Participate in fundraising efforts • Market and advertise the cause and event • Assist with day-of-event duties and tasks • Collect community service hours

  6. Last year at St. Baldrick’s… • $10, 821 raised!! • ~ 70 shavees • ~ 52 ponytails donated • ~ 21 volunteers • ONE SUPER SUCCESSFUL EVENT!

Fun Event Facts • In 2013, more than 1,300 events were held and more than 58,000 volunteers, including nearly 9,000 women, shaved their heads, raising more than 34 million USD- the most in St. Baldrick’s history. • So far in 2014, more than 11,000 volunteers, including more than 2,400 females, have registered to shave their heads at more than 750 events.

Fun Hair Facts • Blondes tend to have about 140,000 hairs on their head, compared to 110,000 for brown hair, 108,000 for black and only 90,000 for those with red hair! • A person loses 40 – 100 hairs a day • Each person’s head has an average of 100,000 strands of hair which means that St. Baldrick’sshavees shed more than 14,511,100,000 hairs for the cause! • At any one time 90% of your hair is growing • During a lifetime, the average human will grow 590 miles of hair, so why not shave or cut off some inches?

About Pantene Beautiful Lengths • A partnership between Pantene and the American Cancer Society • Thousands of free, real-hair wigs donated to women living with cancer • Wigs are distributed through select American Cancer Society wig banks banks across the country • Collected over 272,113 ponytails, to date—a number that’s growing every week.
