  2. Los Angeles, California, USA • Temperatures in Los Angeles are moderate all year, and evenings are always cool. Skies are clearest in winter, especially after a winter rain. It is often smoggy and foggy in the summer • L. A. has a population of almost 20 million. It includes the counties of Los Angeles, Riverside, Ventura, Orange and San Bernardino • Some of the languages spoken in L.A. include English, Spanish, Korean, Filipino, Armenian, and Chinese. • The top religions practiced are: Catholic, Mormon, Jewish, and Scientology. Because of the diverse populations in L.A., many additional religions are practiced • Famous landmarks include the LAX hub, Hollywood sign, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall • L.A. has a large, multi-ethnic population
