Spring programming • January – Publishing Month • Jan 23rd: “Publishing in Graduate School”, by Dr. Kai Schafft (co-sponsored with IESA) • Today: Emily Hodge • February – Getting the best out of the participating at the conference & preparing for elections • Feb 13th: Preparing for elections (constitution, etc.) • Feb 21st: “How to present and network on conferences?”, by Dr. Dana Mitra & Dr. Erica Frankenburg • March – Newly admitted students & conferencing • March 20th: EPSSA meeting (new constitution, call for nominations) • March 20th – March 22nd: New Students Weekend • March 21st (?) – Student Symposium

  4. Spring programming (cont.) • April • April 10th: Announcing new EPSSA Board • April 11th: Bill Boyd Awards • Speaker (?) • Happy hours • Throughout the semester • Other exciting events 

AERA 2014 • Information about the conference is at http://www.aera.net • The funding application is with UPAC • We should know the status of the application a few weeks prior to early-bird registration deadline • If you want funding, do not do anything until you get word from EPSSA • Any questions email Bryan at bmann4@gmail.com

  7. New Students Weekend/Symposium • Short information from Erica • Dates: • New Students Weekend: 20th – 22nd March • Student Symposium: 21st of March

  8. Graduate Council Update • Survey • Deadline sometime in February • Timeline • Mid-February -- survey results • Open meeting please come if free! • April College-Wide Grad Student Town hall
