  2. HOMECOMING 2013-2014 2013 Homecoming’s Theme: ECU SAFCS/PHI-U did a banner for the banner competition with the theme “Are You Afraid of the Dark?”, a popular show from the ’90s.

  4. HOMECOMING 2013-2014 SAFCS/PHI-U Students endured the rain at the Homecoming Parade to support ECU Tigers!

  5. Wardrobe Analysis Students learn how to tie ties in Wardrobe Analysis

  6. SAFCS/PHI-U Group Picture SAFCS/PHI-U Students take their picture for the Yearbook.

  7. Basic Construction In Basic Construction students develop and improve the basic theory of apparel selection and construction.

  11. ECU FCS Holiday Party At the Holiday Party, Maura Culver and Mickenzi Anderson were initiated into Phi-U. Kaitie Quinlan pinned them.

  15. ECU FCS Sister Rosemary’s Visit Sister Rosemary from Uganda came and visited the ECU FCS Department. Sister Rosemary teaches young girls who were slaves in the Ugandan war how to sew, so that they may be able to provide for their families.

  17. ECU FCS Recycle and Redesign RECYCLE! For Home Management, students were asked to recycle something they owned to create something new for the house. From high-heeled shoes becoming a ring holder to a milk jug becoming a pencils holder, the students were quite creative!

  21. SAFCS/PHI-U WELCOME BACK MEETING! Enjoying the food and fun at the meeting The favors at the meeting: Chocolate Bars with special “FCS Nutrition Facts” Ashlan going over the agenda for the meeting

FCS: Dress a Girl Around the World “Imagine a world where every little girl owned at least one dress!” Mrs. Long’s Construction Class is making dresses for the “Dress a Girl Around the World” organization. The organization wants girls to know  that they are worthy of love and respect. Dress a Girl Around the World is a Campaign under Hope 4 Women International bringing dignity to women around the world since 2006. Each dress that Mrs. Long’s student makes will go to a young girl in another country who does not own a dress.

  24. FCS: The Event Sophomore Luncheon Every year the FCS Department holds the Sophomore Luncheon called “The Event.” Invited are students who are sophomore majors or transfers so they can learn more about the program. The Table The Dessert The Menu The Guest Sign-In The Place Settings

  26. FCS: The Event Sophomore Luncheon Janet Gibson, a former FCS major, was the speaker for the luncheon. Deah Wise and Maura Culver as part of their TBA Meal Planning Class planned the Annual Sophomore Luncheon (The Event).

  27. OAFCS CONFERENCE 2014 Students and Faculty attend the OAFCS Conference. Students and faculty were able to attend workshops and learn more about the FCS field.
