  1. Current status of GHN and fast-mode flare observations Yan Xu SWRL/NJIT 2010 March 10

  2. Current Status of GHN + USET/Royal Observatory of Belgium by the end of this month 2010 March 10

  3. Current Status of GHN Provide daily images from all nine stations Provide 1 m & 1" images from BBSO, KSO and YNAO Database: BBSO 2001 March 08 ~ 2009 May 29 307,066 frames KSO 2000 July 20 ~ 2009 January 10 601,989 frames YNAO 2002 January 01 ~ 2008 December 10 207,164 frames Total 1.1 million ~ 9 TB More data waiting to be added into the database + SFD 2010 March 10

  9. Fast mode flare observations 2010 March 10

  10. Fast mode flare observations • The size and intensity of the halo remained almost constant in • the range of 10 Mm2. However, the core area was very compact • and expanded rapidly from about 1 Mm2 to 4 Mm2. • 2. The halo contrast increased by about 8% compared to the flare- • quiet region, which is close to the most current simulation (13%)by • Cheng et al. 2010. • 3. Scheduled fast mode observations, ~150 fps, 4000 ~ 9000 Å 2010 March 10
