  2. College kids like to laugh • 70% of surveyed indicated that they like reading humorous material • Apparent through joke answers to survey questions

  3. The Age of Technology • Surveyed students spend an average 3 hours a day or more “plugged in” • 64% of surveyed marked that they enjoy the internet over other forms of entertainment.

  4. Reading Stats • Surveyed students read an average of 43.5 minutes a day • 1/3 indicate that they read less than 30 minutes a day • Students also marked they wished they had more time to read for pleasure
