Maharishi ValmikiJayanti Indian Festival Essay ValmikiJayantiis an Indian festival for Hindus. He was the first poet of Sanskrit Literature named as MaharshiValmiki. He is also known as AdiKavi which means the first poet. Valmiki religious group celebrate this festival and known as PargatDiwas. He was the first poet who wrote the epic story “Ramayana” and he was one of the great saints in ancient times. Saint Valmiki always encouraged humans to fight against the social injustice. According to Hindu calendar, ValmikiJayanti falls on Poornima (full moon day) of Ashwin month.
Maharishi ValmikiJayanti Indian Festival Essay Lord Rama and Devi Sita had two twin sons named as Luv and Kush. Maharishi Valmiki taught Ramayana to both sons.
