Resource Consumption Disparities: The Role of the "Big Five" Countries

The world's resource consumption is heavily influenced by five major countries—China, the USA, India, Brazil, and Russia. Together, they account for over half of global resource consumption. If we include 15 more countries, this figure rises to three-quarters of worldwide consumption. In stark contrast, the 100 countries with the lowest consumption utilize only 1.5% of all resources. This stark imbalance highlights the critical need for discussions on sustainable usage and fair resource distribution among nations.

On the other hand, the 100 countries with the smallest consumption use only 1,5% of all globally consumed resources together.
