  1. Status and Plans of the Vienna ILD Software Group (a short update) Winfried Mitaroff ILD Software Web Meeting 26 May 2010

  2. RAVE and MarlinRAVE RAVE implemented a Gaussian Sum Filter (GSF) for processing tracks fitted themselves with a GSF (see my talk at TILC'09 in Tsukuba, April 2009). Tested so far only stand-alone with VERTIGO+RAVE, using CMS simulation data with electrons reconstructed by CMSsw’s GSF-enabled track fit. Embedding in Marlin would require an extension of the LCIO data model for handling GSF-fitted tracks. This will become a topic when the new track reconstruction processors will implement the GSF for electron tracks. Support and maintenance kept alive. 3. New Track Reconstruction Commitment of the Vienna ILD Software Group to take full responsibility of the new ”Track Reconstruction in the ILD Forward Region”. Highlights:– Global Pattern Recognition and basic Track Fitting by a Kalman Filter,– Robustification by the adaptive “Deterministic Annealing Filter” (DAF),– Energy loss of electrons modeled by the “Gaussian Sum Filter” (GSF),– Embedded in Marlin / LCIO 2, Interface to the new Geometry toolkit. Expect a diploma student to start work this summer. To be done in close collaboration with DESY (Frank, Steve) w.r.t. the ”Track Reconstruction in the ILD Barrel Region”, Marlin and LCIO 2, and to lesser extent with CERN (Astrid) w.r.t. the new Geometry toolkit.Details to be discussed at the next “ILD Software & Integration Workshop” at DESY, 6 - 8 July 2010. This task is in synergy with the AIDA-WP2.3 ”Reconstruction Toolkit" project. ILD Software Web Meeting
