  3. Al: • adult leader of Discovery Unlimited: reminds Jessie of her dad; wiry gray hair; manipulative; bossy; makes all the rules Pug: • the Big Fella (named by Troy); proud of his muscles; muscular Rita: • nasal accent; from New York

  4. Adam: redhead; always easygoing; mischievous grin; nothing is a big deal to him Star: Jessie’s cabin-mate; frail; delicate Heather: voice like an abused violin string; negative person; always feels mistreated; always complaining

  5. Jessie’s father: • teaches anthropology at a university; loves Jessie; has a new girlfriend named Madeline Madeline: • Jessie’s father’s new girlfriend; disliked by Jessie
