  2. 2009/2010 Strategic PlanningOur Vision The Rotary Club of Traverse Bay Sunrise will be noted for service that results in: • Improving the lives of local youththrough need-based projects and • Improving families and communities internationally through life-sustaining fresh water. • We will be 75+ members strong, aligned in purpose and enthusiasticallyengaged . . . theservice club of choice in Traverse City. Defined and adopted by membership in 2010

  4. The Scouting Mission March 3 – 12, 2011

  5. The Process • Committee was formed • RFPs were solicited • Members were engaged to help score RFPs • Shortlist of three (Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua) presented at “Big Reveal” October 2011 • Electronic voting process – Honduras selected

  6. Funding • Sunrise Foundation ($3,000) • Rotary Charities Challenge Grant ($3,000) • Rotary District 6290 Designated Funds ($6,000) • Rotary Club of Plymouth, MI ($5,000) • Rotary Club of Usula ($2,000) • District 4250, Honduras ($3,000) $22,000 on hand seeking $15,500 TRF match

  20. And so did the local kids

  23. We didn’t lose anyone!

  24. This little club . . . ~30 members . . . with big heartssupports the entire region . . . With the help of partners and The Rotary Foundation!

  25. The trip changed our lives

  26. We look forward to partnering on future projects . . . there is still much work to be done
