  1. FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW TO PREPARE CM: • Make sure you have the latest Service Pak – My Computer>Properties • IF NOT – OS Updates (XP, Vista, Win 7) http://windowsupdate.windows.com • STEP 1: Uninstall Previous CPS andDevice Manager from computer (Start>Control Panel> Add/Remove Programs) • STEP 2: Plug-In CM HDD and launch CM (My Computer>JROTC Curriculum Manager>CM_Start.exe) • STEP 3: Create short cut for CM by clicking on “Create desktop Icon button” • STEP 4: Install standard plug-ins: Acrobat Reader, Flash, Shockwave, etc. (CM>New User>Plug-ins) • STEP 5: Run MS-Office File fix (CM>New User>MS-Office File Fixer) • STEP 6: Install CPS (CM>New User>Install CPS) Will reboot after done • STEP 7: Launch CPS from desktop and then select “Open Existing db” and browse to: JROTC Curriculum Manager\CM_App\CPS_database\cManager\jrotc
