D2D Overview • What is D2D? • D2D is an electronic claims submission solution for VSOs who have proprietary Claims Management System (CMS) • D2D is a data exchange between two systems • D2D is strictly backend functionality • Who are the users of D2D? • D2D’s user base are the VSOs with proprietary CMS • What are the benefits of D2D? • It streamlines the claims management process. Reduces the amount of time it takes to submit a claim • It cuts postage, printing and paper costs • It decreases errors that may occur via manual entry of data • It allows for the claim to be submitted electronically

Onboarding Overview • What is onboarding? • Onboarding is the process of acquiring and absorbing or taking on new users into a system • Importance • It provides a process for the VSOs to follow and learn how they can become users of the D2D functionality • Requirements • Data Transfer Agreement (DTA) • Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) • Configuration Matrix • VLER-DAS Request Form • SSL Certificate
Configuration Matrix Details • What is the Configuration Matrix? • A technical document • Requests Information about the VSO’s Network • Internet Connection Site/Partner • VPN Tunnel Information • Network Traffic Information between VA and Partner ( VSO) • Business POC Information • Technical POC Information • Be careful with information in this document
Configuration Process and Testing Overview • VSO successfully complete and submit documents below to VRM POC: • DTA • MOU • Configuration Matrix • VLER-DAS Request Form • SSL Certificate • VRM/D2D POCs will submit document to OIFO POCs • OIFO POC creates a Request for Change (RFC) and submits the documents above • The RFC is approved by ISO, CIO and Privacy Officer • Reviewed by a random generated technical review board • Submitted to Enterprise Security Change Control Board (ESCCB) Chair for Approval • NSOC created a ticket • NSOC schedules a call with the VSO’s POC and NSOC for connection testing • Process can take between 10-30 days
Technical Tasks VA D2D Architecture Status: • Requirements and technical documentation handoff to new VIERS Team completed • Conducted Technical Deep-dive sessions with VIERS team regarding Phase 1 D2D Requirements • D2D IMS being updated • D2D Mock Services under development • Remaining D2D web services work under development
Business Tasks VSO D2D Onboarding/Testing Status: • Pilot group (9) finalized and submitted MOU and DTA’s • Pilot participant meetings being held weekly • Collecting final document requirements for connectivity testing • Coordinating connectivity testing in addition to planning steps for mock testing and SoapUI Testing • Finalizing UAT Test Plan • Drafting UAT test scenario’s and test account setup for end to end test VSO D2D Support Email box set up and operational: • Responding to business and technical support questions at : D2D.VBACO@va.gov
Next Steps Technical Tasks • Complete connection testing for Pilot VSOs • Begin SoapUI Mock Testing Business • Complete 21-0781 and 21-8940 requirements
VSO Action Required • Submit Signed MOU, DTA and Certificates (If applicable) • Be ready for VA Network security personnel to perform connection testing. • VSO Vendor systems continue development of Forms into XML format
