  1. DO DIFFERENT FLAVOURS OF CRISPS HAVE DIFFERENT QUANTITIES OF FAT? BY EMMA MCKENZIE 2OPT1 INTRODUCTION –Almost 5 litres of cooking oil is consumed in a year as a result to the packet of crisps a day habit. Over 300 million people are obese worldwide, USA having the highest obesity rate. Experts believe that obesity kills more people than smoking does. People do their best to avoid obesity, but sometimes it is not enough. THIS IS A FAT STUCTURE: • Obtain a filter with filter paper inside it and placed it into the boiling tube. The delivery tube is then placed into a test tube that is resting in the iced water. Next filter the crisps and the acetone (now a solution). The experiment should look like this: • You will begin to notice that a distillate is left in the iced test tube. Measure a glass bowl on scales and press zero. DO NOT REMOVE THE BOWL. Until no more distillate passes through the tube, take the fat left behind in the boiling tube and pour it into the bowl. The number that comes up is how much fat is in the crisps. • RESULTS- CONCLUSION- It is correct that different flavours of crisps have different quantities of fat. With Roast Chicken having only one gram of fat, it is the healthy option if you are to cut down on fat. However Steak ad Onion appears to have 11grams of fat and is definitely the flavour to avoid if you are cutting down on fat.
