  2. Beware of submerged objects. Always enter the water feet first!

  3. Cold water in lakes can be dangerous it is often much colder beneath the surface than you think!

  4. Do not retrieve model boats by wading in!

  5. When picnicking do not play near the edge of riverbanks at the waters edge it can crumble away suddenly.

  6. Never walk on frozen water.

  7. Reeds and grass often obscure the edge of the pond!

  8. The banks of a pond may be weak and give way under your weight!

  9. When angling always make sure an adult is with you!

  10. Never fill a bath yourself – plugs should be kept out of reach.
