Growth Inhibition Phenotypes in Fungal Strains IM69 and MV3 Gene Mutants at 30°C

This study evaluates the radial growth inhibition of various fungal strains, including IM69 (∆atmA) and MV3 (∆npkA), after inoculation and incubation at 30°C for 72 hours. The strains exhibit different growth responses depending on genetic mutations affecting key genes. Results are presented as the average percentage of growth inhibition from four repetitions. Findings contribute to understanding how specific gene deletions influence fungal growth in stress conditions, potentially informing future research on fungal genetics and pathogenicity.

Figure 1S – Growth phenotypes of IM69 (∆atmA), MV3 (∆npkA), IM69-3 (∆atmA ∆npkA), MRE (mreA::pyr4), IM69-RE (∆atmA mreA::pyr4), APk35 (ankA), IM69-35 (∆atmA ankA), A776 (bimE7), and IM69-228 (∆atmA bimE7). Conidia from these strains were inoculated and percentage of radial growth inhibition was evaluated after growth for 72 hours at 30oC. The results are the average of four repetitions.
