  3. Identification • Who do you identify with? • Born or went to high school in US • Came to US for undergraduate • Came to US for graduate/post graduate • Came to Work • Different degree of attachment to Nepal • ALL identify themselves as a NEPALI

  4. Contribution to Nepal • Majority of young Nepali in US are VERY concerned about the future of Nepal • “Tara, Ke Garne?” • Continue the discussion – kina? • Networking to contribute in future • Look for avenues to contribute, and keep looking

Contribution to Nepal • Youth in US has and will contribute in many areas • Education: Tap into grants and donations • Example: Doko Dai Mobile Library - $170,000 World Bank grant, operating two RCC in Mahendranagar and Barabise • Example: HeNN and other Non-Profit Organizations – providing education opportunities • Technology: Use of e-commerce and ICT • Example: Thamel.com, Nepalisite.com etc. • Example: Money Transfer

Contribution to Nepal • Tourism: Vehicles of Marketing • Example: High School Cultural Troupe by using diversity grants • Business: Outsourcing • Example: Marketing Nepal’s expertise in US market; Digital Max Solutions, others • Knowledge Transfer: Library and Discussion • Example: Awareness through discussion
