  2. Resolution #1 • That the proposed Bitumen price index (BPI) as presented by Mr Piet Myburgh be monitored and reported on at the next RPF.

  3.   4. Resolution #3 • The data presented by Dr Wynand Steyn be adopted as a basis and be expanded for future reports at RPF meetings. • The data should be augmented to include non treasury expenditure by SANRAL and others, conditional grants and transfers to provinces and expenditure in SADC countries. • It is recommended that progress against budgets should be posted on the RPF web site on a quarterly basis.

  5. Resolution #4 • That a Working Group be established to identify research and development needs in the field of cement stabilisation

  6. Resolution #5 • It is recommended that the Asphalt Academy further investigate the proficiency of bituminous binder testing in South African material laboratories. Proposals will then be developed to identify problems.

  7. Resolution #6 • It is recommended that the foamed Asphalt working group be incorporated as a working group under the auspices of the RPF.
