  3. But what about the Merry men dressed in Lincoln green… …and Little John… …and Friar Tuck… …and Maid Marion… …and Sherwood Forest… …and all that Steals from the rich – gives to the poor stuff?

  4. You see everyone thinks they know who Robin Hood was…

  5. …because they have seen the films…

  6. …read the books… …played the computer game…

  7. …seen the paintings… …collected the models…

  8. …dressed the dog… …posed with the Disney character…

  9. …and attacked their neighbour… …as a joke, of course!

  10. But it’s just not true… …it’s a great big whapping… …lie!

  11. But don’t say anything to people who live in Nottingham… …he is a local hero there. This is a statue of him that stands in the town centre…

  12. This story has been passed on over the centuries… Like all good stories, the more it gets told, the more things get added to it… …even if there was some truth in the story to begin with… …it has been lost with every retelling of the tale.

  13. Over the years Robin Hood has become a superhero!

  15. …and quite a few more I could mention!

  16. These characters… fight evil are brave and strong have a special costume protect the weak get into sticky moments look like they are losing come out on top in the end

  17. Today YOU are going to be a superhero!

  18. You’ll need to ask yourself some questions…. What do you look like? Who or what are you fighting against? Who or what are you trying to save? Where does it all take place? What problems are you going to have to overcome? How much danger are you in? What do you want your reader to feel? How are you going to grab your reader’s attention? How are you going to make your characters believable?
