Project Champion Role • Project Architect • Select Project Team – approx 4-6 members + staff member • Set Project Goal & Objectives that are far-reaching, yet achievable, utilizing • their professional and personal experience • Secure project future • Keep the torch lit through political and organizational changes • Constant advocate in support of economic vitality effort in public, private, media, others • Manage project team • Monitor actions to timeline in partnership with County staff designee • Proactively communicate with team members on deliverables • Liaison between public / private partners, resource providers and funders • Appropriately involve stakeholders & community members

Douglas County Staff Role • LEADERSHIP: Identify and improve upon policies and procedures to achieve priority project objectives • PARTNERSHIP: Develops Public/Private Partnerships • FACILITATOR: Works proactively in collaboration with other community and economic development entities to achieve the County’s economic vitality goals • COMMUNICATION: Coordinates priority project interactions within County • LEVERAGED RESOURCES: Identifies grant funds and seeks opportunities to leverage other resources
