  3. Summary • This book is about a U.S marine who goes into Vietnam in 1968. His name is Patrick Seamus Flaherty. His nick name is Mighty Mouse. It is how he gets there and how it is so much different then the United States. How hot it is and stuff. He is in the KheSanh area and it is one of the worst spots in Vietnam. When he gets there no one talks to him or anything for like a week untill people learn to trust him. At the end he finds out why no one ever talks to the new guys because most of the time they do not live more than two weeks.

  4. More summary. • Almost all of his friends die. But, 2 when they are all bombed when sleeping. Patrick was almost killed but made it and when home and lived the rest of his life. And by the way the girl that went to his school and they never really talked. They started to write and then got married when he got home.
