Prevention of Parents to Child Transmission ikyoh • Model project of Jeevan Aasara adopted by MDACS • Antenatal Management of HIV+ve women & uninfected women • Provide perinatal preventive strategies • Infant feeding, counseling, care & support, Referral services • Medical support to expectant mothers • Nevirapine administration during labor & to newborn • New HIV+ve females & thence their partners identified • Would-be orphans given social / educational / financial support • Immunization & Care and support for children • After 18 months testing for above disease • Total 560 family registered in this project (4 BMC Wards) • Total 72 children are testing after18 months (11 children are affected, 61 children infected, 488 families are in follow up) • Supported by NACO, MDACS, UNICEF

  37. xfjckauk ?kjs % VAMBAY • Objective to provide shelter or upgrade the existing shelter for BPL in urban slums. • VAMBAY is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme shared on a 50:50 basis. • Location of site Mulund, Ghatkopar, Chembur, Malbar hill, Vile Parle • Constructed 942 houses & handed over to householders. • Provided basic amenities for each dwelling unit – one room, a bath, a kitchen and flooring with tiles • City in Rs.60,000/-, Metro City Rs.50,000/-, Village in Rs.40,000/- Buildup per room. • Implementing agency MHADA in Mumbai.
