  1. ABSTRACT The Influence Of 70% Ethanol Extract Of Psidii Folium To Interleukin-6 In Rats Fatma Pertiwi Psidium guajava L. is one of traditional plant that used for medication. The previous study has reported that extract of psidii folium could be used to treat dengue haemorragic fever (DHF). Harjono Achmad (2001) have proved that extract of guava (Psidium guajava L.) leaf can increase the amount of trombocyte in DHF patient. Interleukin-6 (IL-6) is one of cytokine that stimulate thrombopoiesis, it can be used to be an indicator to know the influence of extract guava leaf to thrombopoiesis. Quercetine that suggest had activity to increase trombosit used as a marker.The aim of this research is to know the influence of 70% ethanol extract of guava leaf to IL-6 rats. Sample used in this research is 70% ethanol extract of guava leaf which have suspended in 0,5% CMC-Na solution and arranged in 3 different doses : 2,724 mg/200 g BW, 5,407 mg/200 g BW, and 10,813 mg/200 g BW (each dose equivalent with 0,067 mg, 0,133 mg, 0,266 mg quersetin respectively). The sample was given orally during 6 days successively, blood was taken by intracardial on seventh. Serum was taken to be measured with ELISA method to know the Optical Density (OD) of IL-6. The result showed that 70% ethanol extract of guava leaf dose 5,407 mg/200 g BW have activity to increase IL-6, and showed significant difference from the negative control. Meanwhile dose 2,724 mg/200 g BW, and dose 10,813 mg/200 g BW extract of guava leaf wasn’t showed significant different from the negative control. We suggest furthermore research to know the active compound. Keywords : Psidium guajava L. and Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever, trombositopenia, Interleukin-6, Enzyme Linked ImmunoSorbent Assay.
