  5. About In Word and In Deed In Word and In Deed Professional Development Seminars was born out of Marilyn’s passion to help develop emerging leaders to be the most effective leaders they can be. The company’s name is inspired by the teachings of the Apostle Paul and Marilyn’s firm belief that everything we do by speech or action, should be done in the spirit of excellence and obedience to God. Through Marilyn’s teachings, whether in a professional or Christian arena, her passion and commitment to excellence is clearly illustrated and gives full honor to God. Marilyn offers a wide range of teachings, professional and personal, custom designed to meet your individual or group needs.

Her wisdom and knowledge of the Word of God has proven to be an inspiration to those who have experienced her teaching. Her success is due to her acknowledgement that she can do all things through Christ; but without Him she can do nothing. Her daily prayer is to be endowed with the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit to enable her to do the work that He has gifted her to do. The company’s name, In Word and In Deed, was inspired by the teachings of the Apostle Paul and his firm belief that everything we do, in speech or action, should be done in the spirit of excellence and obedience to God the Father. Hope The Apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 3:13-14: “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those which are before.” “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Hope Hebrews 11:1: “Now faith is the substance (the reality) of things hoped for, the evidence (proof) of things not seen.” • Faith treat things hoped for as reality. • Faith itself proves that what is unseen is real. • Faith is not wishful thinking or believing what you know isn’t true. • To paraphrase Mark Twain… “Faith is the conviction that God will always do what He promises to do, regardless of the circumstances.”
