PURPOSE & CRITERIA • Purpose of claims alert program is to; • Inform captive members of potentially large claims that have occurred. • Provide a detailed sequence of events, root cause analysis, and preventative measures to help other captive members educate employees and prevent a reoccurrence. • Criteria for a claim to become a “Claims Alert” is; • All falls over 6’ in height regardless of injury • Any claim expected to reach or exceed $17,500.00. • Any claim that provides a value to the members after being reviewed subjectively by Loss Control Committee and/or HC&A Staff.

  7. POSITIVE FEEDBACK • To this point, HC&A has received positive feedback on this program. • Company have utilized these as safety meeting topics, and have found them useful. REMEMBER Report claims involving falls over 6’ and any serious accidents, to GALLAGHER BASSETT, GALLAGHER, and HC & A as soon as possible, and ensure first report of injury follows within 24 hours.
