OLL#9: Voltage in Electrical Systems a) Read pp.71-76 and use the following guideline to create your summary note in your logbook (underline key terms): • Paragraph 1: • What do electrical systems do & what are they made up of? • Draw a diagram of a general electric system and explain what each part is • Paragraph 2: • What are 2 types of electricity and define each • What are batteries, what is difference between dry cell and wet cell, what is difference between primary and secondary cell • Paragraph 3: • What is an electrode, how are they marked, what is a cathode and anode? • Paragraph 4: • What does a circuit consist of, draw the shorthand symbols for each component, draw Fig.1-35b • Paragraph 5: • What is frequency, how is it measured, what is voltage, how is it measured, name 4 types of voltage measuring devices. b) Check your understanding: Complete Q#1-8 on pg.77 wkbk
