  3. Landforms Half Dome Located in the southwest quadrant of the park • Rises about 8,800 feet from the valley floor • Made out of granite • Lost Arrow Rock • rises about 2,800 feet. • Made of granite • Located at the heart of the park Half Dome

  4. Culture The Ahwahneechee Indians • Miwok tribe • Lived in Yosemite for more then 7,000 years. • Grinding rocks from the Ahwahneechee Indians have been found throughout the park.

  5. Waterways • Upper Falls • 2nd largest falls in North America. • Rises up to 2,425 feet. • One of the 10 highest waterfalls in North America • Lower Falls • Area scenic attraction in Yosemite National Park.

  6. Rocks And Minerals • Mountains • Lost Arrow Rock rises up to 2,800 feet of granite. • Half Dome rises up to 8,852 feet elevation of granite. • El Capitan is a gigantic mass of unbroken granite, rises vertically 3,600 feet above the canyon.
