  2. CAViDS Consortium Project Objective Develop an AMESim idle rattle model to determine the effect of key system design parameters on idle rattle. The focus will be on flywheel angular acceleration oil level churning drag, pre-damper spring rate, and main shaft drive clearance.

  3. CAViDS Consortium Work Plan Construct basic AMESim idle rattle model Populate the model with measured and calculated parameters for target transmission Calculate expected idle rattle with standard input and perform parametric sensitivity study Compare results with testing
