  1. Turkey One of our Comenius countries is turkey and this is a fact file to tell you about it.

  2. population • The current population of Turkey is around 70 million.

  3. Currency • The Turkish currency is lira. Lira is pounds to us and kurus is pence to us .

  4. Food and drink • They do not eat any pork there meat is based on mutton and lamb but includes a bit of beef and chicken. • They have lots of drinks some are: salgam juice, sahlep,boza, raki and sira. Turkey is the 2nd biggest tea trader In the world.

  5. Sport There are 18 teams in the Turkish football league. The top 3 are: bekitasgalatasaray and fenabache.
