  2. History Of Košice • City of Kosice, the second largest city in Slovakia, a region of eastern Slovakia, has a rich and glorious history. The first written mention of the city dates from the 1230th Coat of arms which in 1369 granted Košice Louis the Great, was the first urban character in Europe, which was accompanied by a royal charter.

  3. Today, Kosice attractive tourist center with good road, rail and air connections. It is the seat of banks, institutions, offices and institutions of national importance. For example, the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic. Kosice is important university center. Flanked University P. J.   4. Cathedral St. Elizabeth

  5. Gorgeous Gothic cathedral of 14 century. Rare is the main altar of St.. Elizabeth with three statues and a set of four panel paintings on the wings. If the altar is completely open to see the principal housing and 12 scenes from the life of St. Elizabeth. St. Elizabeth was in 1970 declared a national cultural heritage, together with the chapel.
