  1. 25“Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing.26So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. Luke 15:25-32

  2. 27‘Your brother has come,’ he replied, ‘and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.’ Luke 15:25-32

  3. 28“The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. Luke 15:25-32

  4. 29But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. Luke 15:25-32

  5. 30But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!’ Luke 15:25-32

  6. Luke 15:25-32 31“‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. 32But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’”

  13. Who has trouble with grace? People who don’t like to think God will treat all sinnersequally.

  14. Jonah – Why did he run? He prayed to the LORD and said, “Please LORD, was not this what I said while I was still in my own country? Therefore in order to forestall this I fled to Tarshish, for I knew that You are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abundant in loving kindness, and one who relents concerning calamity. (Jonah 4:2)

  15. Who has big time trouble with grace? People who don’t love folks like God does.

  16. Luke 15 – The elder brother! vs. 32 – “But we had to celebrate and rejoice”…

  17. Who has trouble with grace? People who don’t reallyunderstand what it means to be saved... vs. 31 - “... all that is mine is yours.” ...and how tragic it is to be lost! “he was dead, now alive - lost, now found.”

  18. He received a prompt reply from the Rolls Royce company. With typical British aplomb, it said simply, "We have no recollection or record of any Rolls Royce having ever had a breakdown or being in need of repair anywherein France."

  23. Reacting to God’s Grace is Not Optional! WE HAVE TO CELEBRATE!
