These laws are presented separately, not in Vayikra, because they only apply in Eretz Yisrael. Can’t get wine or flour in the desert. Give challa to the kohen because he doesn’t have his own land.

  10. Bamidbar is primarily a book of stories but the stories are consistently interrupted with laws we would expect to be in Vayikra. • The story we don’t have is leaving Har Sinai and entering Eretz Yisrael.

They waited for Pesach Sheni and then travelled. Pesach Sheni is therefore part of the story section. Travel begins on 20th Iyar. Shemot finishes on Rosh Chodesh Nissan. Why didn’t they start travelling immediately after receiving the 2nd luchot?

  13. Immediately after all of this, they start travelling and then the trouble starts. • They should be travelling to Israel but instead we find the story of how they don’t make it and the entire generation dies.
