The Parents Action Group has collaborated with the Commissioner for Children’s Services to enhance connections with adult services. A Parent Opportunities event is scheduled for June 12th in Ashford. The Speaking Up Group has reignited, thanks to dedicated volunteers. During a significant Voice 4 Kent meeting, members prioritized advocacy as the most crucial focus for the year. Discussions highlighted the varying meanings of advocacy, leading to the decision to form a working group centered on this vital issue. Together, they aim to empower voices in children's services.

Ashford Speaking up Group • Has started up again by people volunteering their time.
Voice 4 Kent Big Meeting • They had a big meeting to decide what they were going to focus on this year. • They discussed each area that the National Forum are going to prioritise.
Decided advocacy is the most important issue out of the three areas. • There was a lot of talk on what advocacy means to them and people came up with different ideas and felt that a meaning should be decided. • Voice 4 Kent have made advocacy the issue they are going to concentrate on this year and develop a working group on advocacy.
