  1. Zeus’s Crown Wes Sawyer Mrs. Gaspari English 10 15 March 2012

  2. Prologue • A long time ago, back in the days of Ancient Greece, their lived many Gods and Goddesses. Some good some bad, some strong some weak. The strongest of all the Gods was Zeus and his opposite, king of the underworld, Hades. Hades had many evil ways, but Zeus, king of the Gods and Goddesses, was very wise, very good. Hades and Zeus had their conflicts, some ended alright, but not all of them. One of their conflicts, which did not end so good, Hades had done something really evil, he stole the crown of the king and took it for his own likeliness, not the smartest thing to do.

  3. Part I: Hades Steal the Crown • “ I am going to get that crown and there is not a thing Zeus can do about it. I will need all of the help I can get though.” said Hades. He began to gather as many things as he needed. He grabbed weapons and tools, and a couple of monsters of the underworld also. “ Can I come to master, I think I could be useful.” said Trickster. “ Yes, I can use you, you shall come along, grab whatever you need, we must get going by tonight.” The Trickster grabbed all he needed and they head out. Making good time, they finally made to the gates of the land of the Gods and Goddesses. They entered and headed straight towards the palace where Zeus lived. The monsters distracted the guards so that Hades could slip on by. The Trickster went to Zeus and started asking questions and telling joke, keeping Zeus distracted. Hades got the crown and snuck right back out. He gathered his monsters, and the Trickster and hurried back, slyly making their way through the land of the Gods and Goddesses with the crown of their king.

  4. Part II: Zeus’s Plan • “WHERE IS MY CROWN!!!!!” cried out Zeus, frustrated unable to find his crown, having no clue what had happened to it. “ My lord.” said a guard. “ Hades must have it, I watched him leave the palace, he must have snuck in or something.” “ That’s why I hired my guards, TO STOP THINGS LIKE THIS!!!” yelled Zeus. “ We shall go to Hades, the Underworld and get my crown back, his little Trickster must have been in it to, we will punish them both, right after we get my crown back.” Zeus gathered many guards and 2 more Gods, Apollo, the god of war, and Hermes, the little messenger, god of travel and flight. They all made their way out of the Land of the Gods and towards the entrance to the Underworld. All of them knew what Hades was capable of in the Underworld, it was his little playground, he knew anything and everything about it. They finally made it to the entrance, pried the doors open, and started down, Hades, having no idea, was fast asleep in his throne, his little monsters right along with him. “ He is asleep, everybody quiet, lets make this fast and easy, does anyone see the crown?” said Zeus. They looked and looked and they finally saw it. It was being heavily guarded by the evil 3 headed beast. Hermes quietly made his to it, silent as a mouse, grabbed it and flew, fast as can be, through the entrance and back to the land of the Gods. Zeus gathered all of his men and they snuck back out, not making a sound and started back to their home.

  5. Part III: The Punishment • “ King Zeus, please have mercy on me, I know of my evil doings, I understand your anger, but please, please have mercy.” pleaded Hades. “ You will go back to the Underworld, never to come out again, the same goes for your little monsters. Whatever needs to go in goes in but it is never to come back out, do you understand?” said Zeus. “ Yes, I understand.” said Hades. He walked out of the palace, grieving, knowing his mistakes. He made his way through the gates of the Land of the Gods and Goddesses, back to where he must go and where he must stay, forever. On the other hand, King Zeus, invited every God, Goddess, and mortal to a huge celebration party. Zeus had his crown back and he was once again the rightful king of the Gods and Goddesses of Ancient Greece. • THE END
