  2. Cancer Fighting Foods! There are many beneficial foods but there is no ONE food or food substance that can prevent or cure cancer. Include many plant foods in your diet to get the most benefit of cancer fighting foods! Aim for 4 to 5 cups of fruits + vegetables EVERY DAY!

  3. Super Diet! A cancer fighting diet will include many foods that include cancer protective nutrients like: • Vitamins • Minerals • Phytochemicals • Fiber • Phytochemicals are plant compounds (there are more than 900 of them!) that promote healthy tissue in the body and support the immune system!

Phytochemicals Types of phytochemicals: (You probably recognize some of them!) • Beta Carotenes • Leutein • Lycopene • Isoflavones • Beta Carotenes • Quercetin • Ellagic Acid • Saponins • Phytic Acid Foods that have the most Phytochemicals include: • Beans (black beans, kidney beans, black –eyed peas, etc.) • Berries (blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries) • Cruciferous Veggies (broccoli, cabbage,kale, collards, brussel sprouts, etc.) • Dark Green Leafy Veggies • Tomatoes • Whole Grains • Green Tea • Soy

  6. 3 Tips for a Cancer Fighting Diet Every meal should have at least one cup of fruit, vegetable or both. Cover ½ of your plate with fruits and/or vegetables, ¼ of your plate with whole grains and ¼ with protein. Have fruit for dessert!
