Welcome to Course Rep training for 2013! Whether you're a returning rep or new to the role, we look forward to a productive evening filled with valuable sessions. You'll have the opportunity to choose two out of several sessions post-introduction. Don’t forget important dates for the Course Rep Assemblies, where you will interact with university senior management, including the Vice Chancellor and Deputy Vice Chancellor. Academic Liaison Librarians are also here to support you with resources, training, and guidance. We’re excited to work with you this year!

Dates for your diary Course Rep Assembly dates: • Tuesday 10th December – PGR Assembly • Thursday 12 December – UG and PGT • Tuesday 4th February – UG and PGT • Thursday 6th February – PGR Assembly • Thursday 8th May – Assembly for all reps
University Senior Management will attend the Course Rep Assemblies Vice Chancellor Professor Sir Christopher Snowden CEO of the University Deputy Vice Chancellor Professor Gillian Nicholls Most senior member of staff in charge of teaching and learning.
Academic Liaison Librarians • Your Academic Liaison Librarians can provide subject-specific, professional support and guidance for learning, teaching and research. • Academic Liaison Librarians: • liaise about materials for teaching • offer Information Literacy training • attend Faculty and departmental meetings • discuss departmental needs • consult about new resources • offer one to one appointments • offer guidance with accessing electronic resources and using the Internet effectively • offer help with referencing and bibliographic software products
