Task Force Activities Task Force travel: • 3 Task Force meetings (November, January, June) • Contractor selection (January) Conference calls Contractor selection • Written proposals submitted from 4 firms • Baker • CW Beilfuss • Cambridge • Geodecisions • Formal presentations • Baker selected for development of Pontis 5.1 and support for both products

  8. Pontis product Pontis 4.4.3 • Released in Spring • No New Enhancements • Bug Fixes and Functional Updates Pontis 5.0 • Completed, Distributed upon request Pontis 5.1 • Scheduled for Beta testing December 2007 • Release target February/March 2008

  9. Pontis product Pontis 5.2 planning to begin Fall 2007 • Analysis and modeling functionality from Pontis 4 to be included in Pontis 5.2 • Evaluate NCHRP 12-67 modeling and analysis • Multi-objective optimization • Planned for 2009 release

  10. Path Forward Challenges for Pontis • Continuing the transition to .NET • Continuing coordination with Virtis/Opis • Planning for changes in the National Bridge Inventory (NBI) • Two active contractors • Preserving and Expanding the license base
