Enhancements in Critical Incident Notification System (CINS) at DU - Spring 2008 Update

The Spring 2008 update on the Critical Incident Notification System (CINS) at DU outlines significant advancements, including an opt-in communication solution connecting over 4,300 students and 770 staff. A successful initial test in March 2008 sent 15,600 emails and 5,700 text messages with no issues. Continuous training for Campus Safety users ensures preparedness while the new "Door Command" feature enhances security during lockdowns. Ongoing initiatives include mandatory Active Shooter training to enhance response capabilities across the university.
