  3. Participating schools • University of New Hampshire, Durham • University of New Hampshire, Manchester • Keene State College • Lakes Region Community College • New England College • New Hampshire Technical Institute, Concord • Rivier College • Nashua Community College • St. Anselm College

  4. Respondents, by age and region • Statewide, 41% of all respondents were less than 34 years old.

  5. *One person identified as transgender

  6. Race and Ethnicity Statewide, 8% answered “yes” to Hispanic ethnicity.

  7. Statewide, 62% reported their current episode of homelessness was less than 8 months

  9. Prior history of placement 16.5% of the 231 respondents stated that they were in state placement before age 18.

  10. 20.3% (47) of the 231 respondents stated that they were currently employed 10.8% (21) stated that they were working “off the books”

  11. Education • 61% said that they had 12 years or more of education • 39% had more than 12 years • 58% had a HS Diploma • 16% had a GED • 11.2% had a Post High School degree • 37% of respondents having some type of post-high school/GED additional school (college degree/vocational training/certification)

  12. Families and Children • 24% had family members living with them right now • 60.2% said they have children. • Of those, 18.6% (n=40) had children living with them “right now” (when surveyed). • of those,76.2% of women had children living with them right now, and • 31.3% men had children living with them right now. • 3.9% of women interviewed were pregnant right now.

  15. 30% of the 231 respondents stated that they were involved in substance abuse treatment.
