  5. When to use conocer… • To talk about being familiar with a person place or thing • Conozco a Sra. Herron. • Conoces la ciudad de Dublin? • To talk about meeting someone for the first time • Conociste a los hermanos ayer?

  6. “se” Impersonal

  7. “se” Impersonal • In English, you would use : they, you, one, or people. (Meaning “people in general”). • In spanish you would use: se+ the Ud./el/ella or Uds./ellos/ellas.

  8. Cont… • you don’t know who is performing the action • The word that follows the verb determines whether the verb is singular or plural. • The word following the conjugated verb is an infinitive, the verb form is singular.
