  6. Israel was to be a dwelling or House for God. • Exodus 29:45–46: "And I will dwell among the Israelites and I will be their God."

  11. God’s presence is connected to the reality of His pleasure. How do we please God ? • We please God by loving Him Matthew 22:37-38 2. We please God by believing in Him Hebrews 11:6

  14. What made Moses different from the people? 1. They watched but didn’t participate 2. They worshipped from a distance 3. They were more comfortable by their tents than by the tent of God

  15. VI. The Price of His PresenceObedience 1 Samuel 6:1-11 - The First Attempt. • David had a “passion for the presence!” • The ark was only to be transported on the shoulders of sanctified Levites! • You can have your cart or God’s ark, but not both!”

  18. Psalm 84:10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

  19. VII. How to experience the power of his presence? • Plan to have a quiet time with the Lord 2. Do not neglect the fellowship of the saints. 3. Maintain a Holy hunger and thirst for God.

  20. 4. Follow a consistent program of prayer. 5. Learn to be intimate with the Holy Spirit.

  21. 6. Pray that He should show you His way.
